Last week I went to New York for an update of The New York Guide (available here). I love to check out the latest addresses and also see if the ‘old’ ones are still there, or are still as good as we, modern design travellers, need. You’re only in New York for a few days, so my goal is to guide you to only the most amazing spots. I will visit everything, so I can present you the best of the best. When I arrive home people always ask me: what was your favorite discovery this time? Well, I have to say the new 1 Hotels Brooklyn Bridge. The interior and the views over Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge are just incredible. Maybe you would feel a little insecure of staying in Brooklyn while you obviously also like to discover Manhattan. That’s why 1 Hotels Brooklyn Bridge is a good option as there’s a metro line close by bringing you to SoHo and Nolita in just a few stops. The ferry can bring you to Williamsburg and Greenpoint and the surroundings (Dumbo and the Brooklyn Bridge Park are amazing and very upcoming Empire Stores Complex – where you will find a Shinola store, a Smile to Go kiosk and a Soho House and Cecconi’s soon).
I will tell you everything in The New York Guide, but for now: let’s see what caught my eye during my week in the Big Apple:
